Elections to the organization’s Management Board took place during the General Assembly and Spring Congress of ECG in Portugal. Krzysztof Szeligowski’s re-election is not only a personal success, but also proof of Adampol S.A.’s strong commitment to the development of the FVL industry in Europe.
The event in Portugal, in addition to formal decisions, also brought many substantive discussions. The focus was on the challenges that the industry is currently facing. Among them, uncertainty and its main causes were indicated:
• Decreased demand for new cars and production restrictions
• Potential tariffs from the US
• Growing influence of Chinese manufacturers
• Green transformation and its consequences
Among the participants there was a common belief: cooperation is the key to development. Strengthening the internal market and eliminating trade barriers in the EU is a must for the European automotive sector to effectively respond to dynamic changes.
